2027 Stevne

Many threads create the woven tapestry of Norwegian Heritage in America

Plymouth, Minnesota | July 13 – 16, 2027

Welcome to the 2027 7+ Lag Stevne!

Mark your calendars. R-DD Lag and Agderlag are joining together to host the 2027 7+ Lag Stevne, July 13–16, 2027, in Plymouth, Minnesota! This year’s theme, “Many threads create the woven tapestry of Norwegian Heritage in America,” celebrates the countless individual stories, families, and traditions that together form the rich fabric of our shared heritage. From bunad to bunad, bygd to bygd, each of us carries a thread, and when woven together at Stevne, we create something beautiful and lasting.

Plymouth is a welcoming suburb just outside Minneapolis, part of a broader Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul) region woven deeply into the story of Norwegian America. Minnesota is home to more residents of Norwegian descent than any other state in the country, and the Twin Cities have long been a hub of Norwegian American life, from the founding of Sons of Norway in nearby Minneapolis in 1895 to the vibrant Norway House cultural center, where visitors today can explore art, business, and community ties between Norway and the U.S. year round. It’s the perfect backdrop for lag members old and new to gather, reconnect, and add their own thread to the tapestry.

Watch for more details on registration, lodging, and programming in the months ahead. We can’t wait to welcome you to Plymouth in 2027. Bring your stories, your family history, and your excitement for four days of fellowship, learning, and celebration!

Save the date information with Norwegian and American, (and perhaps a Canadian, unclear) flags on the left and the a Norwegian flag flying over a Norwegian scene with a building and a city skyline (presumably Plymouth) in the background.
