Welcome!

Since 1910, Landings Laget of America (Landingslag) has united immigrants and their descendants from the communities of Land in Innlandet, Norway. Through our publications, annual stevner (gatherings), and trips to Norway, we offer members a chance to connect with their heritage and explore the culture of the land their ancestors left behind.
You’ve found our home at landingslag.com, where familiar resources sit alongside new ways to explore our shared heritage. We’re so glad you’re here.
We warmly invite you to join us and share in the rich history of our roots.

America Letters – A Journey Through Time
The following 20-minute video brings to life the stories of Norwegian emigrants who left their homes in Land and journeyed to America between 1839 and 1915. Based on letters sent to family and friends back home, these personal accounts reveal the hopes, struggles, and experiences of those who ventured across the Atlantic. Created and subtitled by the Lands Museum (now part of the Randsfjord Museums), the video features Norwegian narration with English subtitles.
Sit back and experience the heartfelt messages from our ancestors as they share their lives in a new world.
Call for Letters from Immigrant Ancestors!
Do you or your family have old letters sent from Land by immigrant relatives?

The Lands Museum in Norway is working with Landingslag on an important historical project to preserve such correspondence. If your family has received letters from Land, we would be grateful to learn about them.

If needed, we can also help with translations.
