Arvid Sandaker (1935–2011) Tribute

Arvid Sandaker is best known for his important work, Boka om Land IV — Emigration to America from Søndre and Nordre Land, 1839–1915 (Bind IV – Utvandringen til Amerika fra Søndre og Nordre Land 1839–1915), published in 1973. His research preserved the stories of countless emigrants who left the Land district of Norway to build new lives in America, ensuring that their journeys would not be forgotten.

Through his writing and friendship, Arvid strengthened the bonds between descendants in America and their ancestral homeland in Norway. This video is offered in gratitude and remembrance of a life devoted to history, heritage, and connection across generations.
