Landingen Yearbooks
First published in 1976, the Landingen Yearbooks (Årbøker) grew out of a decision by the Lands Museum to create an annual publication that would preserve and share stories of lasting significance to the Land community. Issued by the Lands Museum, each yearbook brings together articles by museum staff, members of local historical societies, and other contributors with deep knowledge of the area. In addition to the articles listed in the index shown below, the volumes include songs and poems submitted by readers, annual reports from the museum and the Nordre and Søndre Land Historical Societies, and interesting photographs in every publication, offering genealogists and local historians a rich source of historical context, visual documentation, and connections across generations.
Landingslag holds many issues of the Landingen Yearbooks in its library. While the publications are written in Norwegian, the titles listed in the index below are translated into English. These journals are not available online; however, members may consult them during Landingslag stevner or use the request form at the end of this page to contact Landingslag for assistance with specific materials, such as copies of individual pages or articles. The Year-Page nomenclature represents year of publication and the page number of the associated article.
Use the Search box below to quickly filter the table for specific information. For example, type ‘2015’ to see only entries from 2015, ‘husmann’ to see articles related to that topic, or ‘Alastair Brown’ to see only his contributions.
